From Jinn to Talym

Fer all of you who have asked, "What's the deal with Talym? Jinn, did you change your name?"
Here's the story I accounted for some of you. Enjoy:
Many moons ago (which is approximately 15 years, give or take a couple), me Mom was in Korea and visited a fortuneteller, because she wanted to find out what the...the...future held for her beloved son (that would be me). The fortuneteller toldeth me Mom, "No need to worry about yer son, he will be fine (in Korean, of course)....He should, however, change his name."
With this knowledge, me Mom relayed the message to her son (that is me). I, being proud of me name, responded defiantly, "I am proud of me name, which was given to me by me Father. If I make it in this world, I will make it as Jinn (which is me name)."
Flash forward many moons minus a couple (approximately 2 years ago), I was in a rut. "I need a change in my life," said I. Thinking and thinking I did. More and more darkness did shroud me head for it was difficult to get off ones lazy arse. Then a thought came to one young Jinn (hey, it's my story). "Ah, many moons ago, I remember me Mom telling me of changing me name," said I to myself that is young Jinn, who is soon to be Talym.
So young Jinn did call upon his Mom. "Yes, indeed, you should change yer name," said me Mom. "Cool", said young Jinn to the soon to be renamed one, who is I. Brainstorming did young Jinn do to find the perfect new name...but when he did speak to his Mom again she said, "No, no, no, you don't get to pick yer name: The name is given to you." "Drats," young Jinn did think. Aaaaah, but here comes the magic...
Me Mom was looking upon the local Korean paper, which in this case is in the Emerald City (Seattle). Lo and behold, the same fortuneteller whom she visited in Korea many moons ago, happens to be in town. Me Mom goes to this same fortuneteller. The fortuneteller doth provide the new name for young Jinn: Talym (The name can be spelled anyway I like, but the pronunciation is closer to: "Tay-Lim".) Fortuneteller further explains: Although the name Jin Soo (Yes, that is my middle name) is wonderful (means Sincere, Honest, Truthful, etc...), but it does not acknowledge success. Thus, the new name TAY portion means success. Now, the LIM portion refers to a dense forest. Since Jin Soo was born in the winter, he is trapped in ice. LIM represents a source of fire to melt away the ice and also represents the people around him (our hero) whom he should surround himself for support and love on his journey to...Success...
